The Local Harvest Festival first started in 2009 as a way to bring all of the amazing local vendors our region has to offer into the greater community. In its third year, the festival has grew to feature over 45 local vendors, businesses and a slew of great local bands. Please check out the rest of the site as we finalize the details to make this year’s Harvest Festival the best ever!

ABOUT HONEST WEIGHT FOOD CO-OP
Honest Weight Food Co-op, Inc. is a member owned and operated natural foods grocery store that has been serving the public since 1976. Our driving mission is to provide the Capital District with high-quality, affordable foods and to promote healthy, sustainable living.
Our staff and membership pride ourselves on being a venue for local farmers and producers. Stop by any time and discover all the region has to offer. We have the largest bulk foods section in upstate NY, the best cheese selection north of NY City, the finest of locally raised, grass-fed meats, an incredible deli and bakery, the freshest produce, and a Wellness Department that encompasses all the best of vitamins, supplements and body care products you could wish for.
We are proud to be a part of the community and support community projects in conjunction with Capital District Local First throughout the year. Our Outreach programs bring our mission into local schools through such activities as our Ready, Set, Grow! program. We also sponsor a monthly film series with WAMC, entitled “Food for Thought,” which focuses on films that highlight food and environmental issues.
We have used the cooperative business model to create a truly viable and responsible business and are in the process of finalizing our plans for a new store at 100 Watervliet Avenue that will allow us to increase our community involvement as well as increase our local food and product offerings.
